Which idle upgrade should you buy next?
Use simple payback time to compare upgrades without losing sight of how you actually like to play.
Compare price with extra production
For automatic upgrades, divide the price by the extra coins per second. A first minter costs 30 coins and adds one coin per second, so its initial payback is about 30 seconds. A first press costs 200 and adds eight per second: about 25 seconds.
The cheaper upgrade is not always better
Prices rise after each purchase. Recalculate using the currently displayed price, not the starting cost. An expensive machine can have a shorter payback, but you must first save enough to afford it.
Value active upgrades honestly
A stronger tap is valuable only when you tap. Estimate your comfortable taps per second and multiply by the upgrade’s added coins per tap. Do not compare an active upgrade as though you will click continuously forever.
Plan around your next break
Coin Foundry adds up to eight hours of offline production from owned minters and presses. Buy automatic production before leaving if that fits your plan. A game loaded in a third-party iframe may use completely different offline rules.
